affordable, thermally efficient green building materialEZ Wall Thermopanel, is a prefabricated, environmentally friendly, building envelope -- steel framing -- system. An R-48 energy efficiency rating, makes this building material ideally suited for today’s energy conscious home builder.

 

It is suitable for all new residential and light commercial buildings; it is a smart choice for energy efficient remodeling projects.  

 

 

Fully-insulated with closed-cell, thermally efficient polyurethane, not to be confused with SIP’s or polystyrene foam.

The EZ Wall Thermopanel, is a patented galvanized steel framing system. The high quality manufacture of these panels insures a repeatable process that creates a uniform dispersion of polyurethane foam – no cracks or voids – while maintaining cell integrity and structure. The insulation filler is polyurethane closed-cell foam. To insure maximum UV protection, the polyurethane is faced with butcher-block paper. Fields Process Technology's proprietary filling system guarantees a uniform polyurethane fill providing adequate insulation between steel joints and minimizing thermal conduction, also known as thermal leaks (see figure at left).

Made in 2’x8’ or 2'x10' panels

 

The EZ Wall Thermopanels were designed with economy in mind. They are compatible with all existing building materials.  Using these panels, in the place of stick construction, requires no special training, tools or hardware. Builders can assemble these panels in a considerably shorter construction period, drastically cutting jobsite costs.

 

The EZ Wall Thermopanels couple easily with any standard footer. Made from galvanized steel, this thermally efficient steel framing system consists of four channel studs welded to a top and bottom plate providing unparalleled strength and durability.

 

The EZ Wall Thermopanel steel framing system outperforms conventional stick framing.

Architects can enjoy the same design flexibility as they have now with existing building materials.

 

In construction, the panels are joined together with a 2”x 4” wood spline that further strengthens the steel and polyurethane envelope frame.

 

To build ceiling heights of 16’, 18’ or 20’ the panels are staggered for maximum strength (for example an 18’ ceiling could be made with a 10’ panel and 8’ panels, followed by a 2-8’ panels and a 2’ panel assembly; and then repeat a section of 10’ and 8’ panels followed by a 4’ and 8’ and 6’ panels and so on.

 

Doors, windows, and specialty designs

The EZ WALL Thermopanel comes in standard 2’ widths, but can also be made to order.  Standard products include:  8’ by 2’ wall insulated panel and 10’ by 2’ wall insulated panel.

 

Increase Energy Efficiency

Headers, Footers and Soffets are fully insulated added greater energy savings. The EZ Wall Thermopanels can be custom made to fit all window and door sizes.

 

Installation

Receptacle locations can be placed as per the architect’s drawings. Cables and wiring are run through the track on the first floor and the remainder of the structure is done in same way as today’s construction process.
